Rice fortification future potential for an alliance: how can we make it work?
1-2 December 2009

On the Agenda is interative and open discussions about the feasibility of creating a global initiative for rice fortification and what is the best way to organise this. We will discuss what should be included in the strategic pillars of focus of an alliance, the scope for market development, technological capacity,resource mobilisation and the structure and alliance would take.

Building partnerships for better health in Pacific Island countries: the opportunity for rice fortification
3-4 December 2009 (by invitation only)

By introducting key industry, trade, agency and government partners we will be able to provide the right environment to discuss the feasability and scope to develop a collaborative action rice fortification in the Pacific Islands.

We want to facilitate a workshop where different stakeholders can: exchange technology information; examine the feasibility of regional agreement and explore potential partnerships, in order to improve health and food security in Pacific Island countries.
